Baptism Favors
Baptism Party Help?
We are having a baptism party however I'm not sure what you are supposed to do since I've never been to one.
We have already reserved the restaurant so food and drink is taken care of however I have a few other questions.
Do you give out favors?
Do you give out gifts to the godparents?
Is normal church wear okay for the day of the party (for myself and husband the baby had her dress already).
Any other little tidbits are appreciated.

Well, I recently baptized my daughter (I'm Catholic) and I also had it at a restaurant.
I didin't give out favors, though some people do it, but is not that common and I was saving money for her bday party (which is next Saturday and bapstism was on dec). In my culture (Spanish/Latin) we do not give presents to the Godparents, they give presents to their grandchild. Normal church wear is ok. I wore nice black pants, high heels and a blouse. My husband wore nice blue pants and a new shirt. Nothing too fancy but not too sporty, just dress nice for the ocassion.
I also had a cake (white one) with the picture of a Dove on it.
