When you put a Tealight Candle in a carved Pumpkin, do u just leave it by itself outside all night?

im kind of confused, im ready to start carving this pumpkin and I would like to put a candle in it, but when i put it in and stick it outside, do I just leave it out there until it burns out or blow it out after a couple of hours?

I would blow it out. If it gets knocked over it could start a fire somewhere. Also, fresh cut pumpkins on Halloween are notorious targets for Halloween teens out after hours looking for things to smash and if the candle is still lit, then it's even more tempting. Because of this I usually leave mine inside now in the window. Another idea is to put it in a window facing the street outside of your house (as long as small children or pets can't get to it and knock it over). If it's fresh it shouldn't attract bugs or anything that quickly inside but leaving it outside might.

Another idea is to go to a Halloween store and see if they have these little battery operated plastic tea light sized LED light bulb candles that have a little on/off switch on the bottom. Those would be your best bet and save you from a fire hazard.
