What do you expect from the barren land with peaks ranging from 5,800 to 7,600 meters? What would you like to search in the snow desert with mindless stretch of acres of treeless meadows? You need to take off your shoes before entering the prayer area, and should wear clothes that cover your limbs. Drinking, smoking, taking drugs or spitting in the monastery premises is strictly prohibited. Moreover you need to take permission before taking photographs. And most importantly, in many Gompas, you are expected to walk around the premises only in a clockwise direction.
