Are the glow light tetras at walmart wild caught or tank bred?
Just curios. By the way I know every one says don't buy fish at walmart but I bought 7 glow light tetras there and they have been with me for 3 years! Why might this be?
most likely wild caught. usually any store which has tetras catches/imports them from the wild. thats why in the winter, neon tetras look like ity bitty babies, because the bigger ones with "down" the river and have left small ones.
and some walmarts do take decent care of their fish
and you coulda been lucky...idk...i refuse to buy fish from my walmart, they have more ick then a pound has fleas. thats saying something!
and tetras are egg scatters and are super hard to breed, and they are usually wild caught, but some lucky lil fellow might have gave away his fry to the petstores at 6wks+ of age...
