Personalized candy wrappers - need ideas for making them at home...?
Our daughter's first birthday is this summer. I would like to make our own candy favors for the guests - all different ages. It costs a fortune to order them. I have the time to make personalized wrappers, but don't know where to begin. I've seen the candy bars, which would be fine, but there are other candies to work with as well. Any ideas would be appreciated. If it makes a difference, or sparks any ideas, her party will have a garden theme (flowers, butterflies, etc...)
I had a hard time trying to decide what kind of favors I wanted to do for my daughters 1st bday. I decided I wanted to do sugar cookies. Great for kids all ages. I started out making my own and were goin to put them individually in their own lil bag. Well...my baking skills aren't that great and I ended up wasting 5 rolls of cookie dough. I got up the day of her party and went to Wal-Mart. They have sugar cookies that have a thick colored icing on them with sprinkles on top. (Some of the best cookies ever) They are super soft so perfect for kids of all ages. There are 10 cookies in the container for $2.50. I order personalized stickers off of Ebay. I got 60 of them for like $8. Which they came out ADORABLE!! But the cookies come in different color icing, I got Pink & Yellow. BTW I went home put one cookie (They are good size) in each bag and then sealed the bag with her sticker! BIG BIG hit at her party. Alot easier, cheaper, & not as messy as trying to do it on my own! Hope this helps!
