When you are planning your wedding, you want to take advantage of all that nature affords and possibly use the countryside as a backdrop to your perfect day.  You will want to incorporate as much of nature into your wedding plans as possible, especially when it comes to your décor.  This means that you will want to have flowers everywhere.  

Traditional weddings have traditional floral arrangements such as lilies and roses.  Both of these types of flowers can be used in a your wedding as well, although you will want to work with your florist to make sure that you also incorporate other flowers that can be carried and worked into arrangements.  

Flowers for the church 

If you are having a church wedding, consider flowers for the church.  Be sure to discuss the procedure with church officials prior to ordering this type of décor as some churches will permit only a certain amount of flowers.  

Flowers for the bride 

The flowers for the bride can be a whimsical bouquet of traditional flowers mixed with some wildflowers and posies.  When you are planning your wedding, you can stick with formal and traditional flowers or choose a lighter, more colorful flavor when it comes to flowers.  Some brides are even choosing wildflowers for their bridal bouquets.  You can also choose to carry the flowers in a basket instead of holding them in a traditional bouquet.  

Flowers for the bride can also include a headpiece.  Floral pieces can be used to hold the veil or even woven into the hair.  Flowers for the bride should compliment the bridal attire as well as the bride.  

Flowers for attendants 

Attendants should also carry flowers that are similar to those of the bride, but not as lavish.  Again, you will want to go with less formal arrangements for an informal wedding than you would a formal, traditional wedding.  Flower girls should sprinkle flowers from a basket, as is tradition, but they do not have to be rose petals.  

Flowers for the reception venue 

The wedding venue should be decorated with flowers.  If you are having a dinner, each table should have a floral centerpiece and there should be several at the bridal table.  These flowers should coordinate with the flowers that are part of the bridal bouquet.  

Outdoor flowers 

If you are getting married outdoors, you will want a floral arch.  You can work with your florist for outdoor floral ideas that can combine both the natural beauty of the land as well as the colorful beauty that nature provides when it comes to wedding flowers.
