beach wedding..bells & bubbles?
I plan on having bubbles & bells ring when the ceremony finishes..Would love your advice on the following..
Should I have bubbles blown & bells ring at the same time as we as we (bride & groom) are going back down the 'aisle' (it is going to be an beach wedding)..?
And since the reception is only 10min walk from the venue, we won't be exiting in an limo or anything like that ..SO is it silly for the bride & groom to stop & be standing at the end of the 'aisle'..? THank You
In some cultures everyone brings a bell to the ceremony to ring at the end and as the couple walk down the aisle.
Since this is a beach wedding those bells sound great! Save any receiving line for the entrance to the reception IF you feel your must have one. You are right to think it would be silly to do that on the beach. If you have 50 or fewer guests skip that ritual all together and make sure you greet every guest during the reception.
Bubble have taken the place of rice and rice was traditionally thrown outside the church OR as the couple dashed away from the reception (depending on your area's culture). These days bubbles can be blown at the end of the service, as you enter the reception hall or if you have dancing, during your first dance with your new husband.
P.S. If you are walking to the reception, please make sure anyone who is unable to make the walk is taken care of. You never know who might have an impairment to walking you are unaware of. Your RSVP card could note that the reception is a 10 minute walk and have a check-box for "Needs assistance to reception venue." Based on the answers you can rent a golf cart or have a car available to ferry people. Some folks even rent a trolley for running people to the reception and then back to their cars.
